TEASER VIDEO PROMPT — MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE FORMAT AND PURPOSE Create a cinematic animated mood teaser, maximum 3 minutes, in stylized cel animation. It is a closed pitch presentation, not for public release. The visual language should combine rapid Jump Cuts, Fast-Forward, Time-Ramping and precise slow motion, with abrupt changes of rhythm used for comic, dramatic and melancholic effect. IMPORTANT TITLE RULE Do NOT display, announce, or use any other title for the work inside this teaser prompt. The presentation title is MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE. VISUAL CONTINUITY • Present-day sequences are set in 2026. • The principal period is Rio de Janeiro in 1999. • The period flashback is the 1970s. • Keep character ages and appearances visually consistent. • The green glass bottle is a recurring visual object and must remain recognizable. • The teaser must feel like a coherent cinematic trailer, not a collection of unrelated clips. BLOCK 1 — THE ARPOADOR FUSION, THE 1999 BLACKBOARD AND THE MIRROR PARADOX 00s–35s The trailer opens in 2026 with a medium shot on the sidewalk of Avenida Vieira Souto, at Arpoador. Modern traffic establishes the present naturally: silent electric SUVs and contemporary cars pass along the avenue. Pedestrians walk casually, with contemporary haircuts and discreet smartphones. Through rapid Jump Cuts and Fast-Forward, a mysterious teenage girl of 14 leaves the sidewalk, walks across the sand and sits at the water's edge. The image suddenly brakes and slows into slow motion as a dark-green glass bottle is carried by the foamy tide until it comes very close to her feet. Still sitting on the sand, she bends slightly and picks up the bottle. In Fast-Forward she pulls out the message and opens the scenographic paper. The camera begins to pull away rapidly in Jump Cut and rises toward the top of Colégio São Paulo. The girl on the beach becomes a tiny point and disappears into the immensity of the landscape. Through a very slow dissolve across the classroom window glass, the landscape outside changes: modern cars disappear and are replaced by the cars of 1999. The camera reveals Daniela, 14, shy and displaced, staring completely lost through the window, watching from above the exact point on the beach where the bottle was opened. In the background, a man's voice is heard, slightly muffled. On the blackboard, in white chalk, is the date of the Saturday school session: “20 de Novembro de 1999 - Dia de Zumbi dos Palmares” Another abrupt Jump Cut to the sports court. The image accelerates and then slows precisely at the instant when a soccer ball explodes against the wall beside Daniela's face, capturing her fright and the firm scolding gesture she gives the boy. A static Jump Cut travels twenty years into the past, to the 1970s. The image races and then slows in the mother's bedroom. Young Ângela Monteiro, beautiful and glamorous, wearing a transparent nightgown, applies deodorant in front of the wardrobe mirror. In the mirror's reflection, Eduardo Monteiro appears at the window from below upward, rising mechanically on a rough construction hoist with a ratchet lever. The sound is: “TRIM... TRIM... TRIM...” Eduardo is young and charming, balanced on the hoist after slipping some money to the workers on the sidewalk. He extends a bouquet of flowers toward Ângela. Ângela covers herself, smiles with the exaggerated happiness of a television commercial and takes the flowers, while Eduardo's eyes are diverted toward the perfect shape of her body reflected in the mirror. Hard contrast cut back to 1999. In a sophisticated office in half-darkness, the present Eduardo, 47, opens the letter with a fascinated smile. His assistant Carlos organizes newspaper classified ads and watches his employer with an ambiguous, ironic expression, trapped in the hypocrisy of a dead marriage. BLOCK 2 — THE BONFIRE, THE JEANS RITUAL AND THE JOATINGA SEDUCTION 35s–1m00s Rapid Jump Cuts in Daniela's glacial bedroom in 1999. Daniela tears papers furiously, makes a pile on the floor, throws a match and the smoke rises. The image accelerates in static Fast-Forward as the maid Dinalva puts out the fire with rough gestures. An envelope arrives containing the definitive letter from “Rubem”. Daniela's face lights up with passion. Still wearing sloppy clothes suitable for staying at home, she makes a silly, happy little dance around the bedroom with the paper in her hand. Fast-Forward launches into a violent wardrobe change through abrupt cuts. The rhythm brakes suddenly and slows into slow motion, focused on the intimate detail of Daniela performing the classic, difficult movement of pulling up her tight jeans, moving her body to accommodate them. Normal speed returns. She adjusts herself vainly in front of the wardrobe mirror, folds the letter with shining eyes and carefully puts it into the back pocket of her jeans before going out. Static Jump Cut to the promenade. The image races and slows near the net, where a young athletic man prepares to serve in footvolley. He freezes his movement in midair and stops the serve to watch Daniela pass. The two exchange a brief magnetic look under the sun. Brutal Jump Cut to Joatinga beach. The image accelerates on Carla's exit from the water and then slows into absolute slow motion from Simone's point of view on the beach mat, following in macro detail the droplets of water forming trails and running over Carla's brown skin. Cut to a close-up of Simone's face, frozen in fascinated secret admiration. Cut to Carla whipping her wet hair forward and backward in a wild, carefree ballet, spraying a cloud of coastal mist over Simone, who closes her eyes and receives the droplets. Fast-Forward shows Carla nestling with her back between her friend's thighs. Normal speed returns in silence. Simone begins the ritual of stroking and detangling Carla's hair. In restrained silence, Simone holds the hair at the roots and turns Carla's head toward her like the cup of a blender so they can look into each other's eyes while Simone gestures. Carla looks away slyly and turns her back again. The game repeats until, in a sudden turn, their faces come together and their noses touch for a fraction of a second, at maximum tension in this strange mixture of affection and torture, before they run hand in hand into the water. Rapid Jump Cut to traffic. The image slows and shows the two women radiant, laughing and throwing their arms upward with their hair blowing in the wind, aboard a classic red Ford Escort XR3 Convertible with its top down in a traffic jam in the South Zone. Static Jump Cut to golden late afternoon at Ipanema Beach. The image races and slows on Mayre's little hip movement as she lies face down on the sand after a brief conversation with Armando. Armando, 23, athletic, pours tanning lotion into his hands and, moving his fingers like a surgeon wearing imaginary gloves, begins massaging her back. Melancholic closing of the block at night. The image slows on a table in a traditional bar. Eduardo, in swimwear, and Carla are locked in a silent, extremely tense argument. Eduardo behaves like an authentic gentleman: restrained, cold and imperious. He speaks with elegant firmness, stands and leaves, accidentally leaving his cap on the table. Carla cries quietly, one tear running down her face. When she notices the cap, she reaches for it and discovers a thin envelope with a check hidden underneath. BLOCK 3 — POLICE COWARDICE AND THE SIDEWALK CHOREOGRAPHY 1m00s–1m25s Rapid Jump Cut in the darkness of a car: a hand opens the glove compartment, puts on black gloves and pulls out a silver pistol. Static Jump Cut to the sidewalk. A cigarette butt is crushed beneath a flip-flop whose big toe has a thick bandage. Zicadão, wearing a Flamengo shirt, gets out of the car and pulls on a ninja hood. Fifty meters away, Zeca waits inside Nelsinho's car. He sees the movement and shouts desperately to warn his friend. Mechanically, Zicadão raises the gun and fires his warning shot. The bullet explodes the passenger-side window and Zeca throws himself to the floor, alive. Hard cut to the shot immediately in front of Nelsinho's car, across the street. Under a protective awning, the building doorman gestures with his arms and warns in a nasal voice: “Olha lá, olha lá, o negão vai matar o garoto!” Beside him, uniformed PM Pilatos shrugs and hides behind a pillar: “Xiii! Num quero nem vê...” The image slows into the brutal face-to-face confrontation at the building entrance. Armando, panicked, uses Nelsinho as a shield by his tie and walks backward until he hits the low iron entrance gate typical of the 1990s, approximately knee height. His nervous hand cannot open the entrance bolt. Zicadão approaches robotically and fires a single accurate shot. Nelsinho ducks, covering his head. Armando, with a bullet hole in the center of his forehead, flies over the low gate and falls stretched out inside the entrance area, becoming motionless after a tremor. On the ground, a small packet of cocaine rolls and becomes caught in the crack of the storm drain. Nelsinho, face down on the Portuguese-stone pavement, desperately stretches his arm toward the packet. Zicadão approaches, raises the playboy's head with the barrel of the pistol and lowers the weapon toward his nostril. He smiles with his eyes and pulls the trigger: “CLICK!” The gun is empty. Zicadão ejects the empty metal magazine, which bounces on the ground. Startled, Nelsinho hits his forehead hard against the Portuguese stones. Zicadão examines the cocaine and mocks him: “Eu não ia te matar não, playboy. Você já se mata bem sozinho” He throws the packet into Nelsinho's face and escapes in the car with armed accomplices. Rapid Jump Cut. Nelsinho jumps up, grabs the cocaine and runs like a bullet along the sidewalk, close to the wall and beneath the neighboring awning. During the run, the image slows and hits with a frontal visual punch as Nelsinho collides directly with the enormous belly of the same negligent PM Pilatos. Pilatos now fills the frame, tapping his baton against his hand with an intimidating look: “E aí, garotão, ondé qui tu ia com essa pressa?” Static Jump Cut through time. The music-video rhythm of “SPEED RACER” by Fernanda Abreu enters violently in Fast-Forward. The car flies around Lagoa. In the back seat, Daniela, a virgin, slaps the panther beside the young footvolley player. The car enters Leblon squealing its tires, driving the wrong way. Time-Ramping brakes the action and slows it down. Violent headlights explode across the windshield, only millimeters from the Monteiro family's car: Zeca driving, Thaís in front, Eduardo and Ângela in the back. The headlights cross in the darkness. Daniela's car reverses at high speed. BLOCK 4 — THE MOTORCYCLE, CHRIST THE REDEEMER AND THE HOTEL ROOM SECRET 1m25s–2m15s The sound of “Speed Racer” disappears. Absolute silence. Static Jump Cut to a sunny morning in Barra da Tijuca. On a straight coastal road, Zeca rides a motorcycle at high speed with Thaís on the back. She opens her arms with a huge smile, deliciously testing the resistance of the wind with her hand in a pure flash of happiness. Rapid Jump Cuts and Fast-Forward in Zeca's bedroom. The calm ends. Thaís wakes with a start, terrified and wrapped in the sheet. She desperately gathers her clothes while punching Zeca, who deliberately takes his time waking up, enjoying his girlfriend's panic and suspense. Outside the door, Ângela Monteiro pounds on the wood, losing patience. In desperation, Thaís does not know whether to attack her boyfriend or grab her clothes. Zeca maintains an irritating calm and a mocking expression. A sharp Time-Ramping brake and slow motion focus on Ângela trying key after key in the lock. Thaís's desperation reaches its peak. Zeca moves and gives her the silent signal to disappear. Rapid Jump Cut. The key turns, the door opens and Zeca suddenly appears in the doorway pretending he was already about to open it. He receives his mother's scolding and little slaps. Ângela points to her wrist, demanding punctuality, and leaves furious. The room is clear. Zeca lies on the floor, sticks his head underneath the bedspread and whispers: “Tá limpo, amor, pode sair” At that exact moment, Thaís's clenched fist shoots out from underneath the bed directly toward the camera lens and punches the screen: “Ai, amor!” Quick cut to the two of them sneaking silently down the living-room staircase. The video switches into real-time slow motion high on Corcovado. Beaten by the wind and leaning against the stone parapet, Zeca and Thaís exchange caresses and kisses. Thaís asks: “Será que a gente vai dar certo, Zeca?” Zeca answers: “Se a gente não tentar, como vai saber?” She continues: “A gente vai ter um filho do terceiro milênio... Importante isso, né?...” Zeca nods proudly: “Uhn, hum...” Thaís becomes anxious: “Como será que esse mundão vai tratar ele?, quer dizer, ela... Será que o mundo vai ser bom com a nossa filha, Zeca?” Zeca comforts her: “A gente faz a nossa parte, gotinha... O resto, deixa nas mãos do cara lá... Bonitão ele daqui, né?” Zeca raises his head and points. The camera reveals the statue of Christ the Redeemer, sovereign, blessing the couple and Rio. They kiss. Suddenly, sounds of a faction war echo from the favela below. Gunfire traces across the sky around Christ. Zeca and Thaís crouch in fear behind the stone parapet. A single RED TRACER BULLET cuts across the golden sky toward a helicopter, misses its target and strikes the monument's hand. HARD CUT — THE MILLisecond OF IMPACT Cut immediately to black on impact, with the sound of the concrete strike. Return ONLY to the couple's viewpoint from below. IMPORTANT PHYSICAL TRAJECTORY — DO NOT VIOLATE THIS: The concrete finger does NOT fall onto the observation platform and does NOT land at the feet of the monument. After breaking away from the statue's hand, it travels downward under gravity, crosses the stone parapet that borders the platform and passes extremely close above and/or beside Zeca and Thaís's heads. It then continues down the mountainside toward the forest/quarry area below. Do NOT show where it lands. CRITICAL CONTINUITY RULE: NEVER SHOW CHRIST THE REDEEMER WITHOUT THE LITTLE FINGER anywhere in the teaser. Do not insert an establishing shot, reaction shot, transition or background image in which the missing finger can be seen before the final television report. The statue must appear intact until the exact impact event. The falling object should initially look like a huge pointed block of concrete or rock, not like an immediately recognizable finger. It passes close to the couple and beyond the parapet, continuing down the slope. Do not show it landing. Rapid Jump Cut and Fast-Forward. The image brightens into Arpoador in 2026. The rhythm becomes calm and silent. The mysterious teenage girl finishes reading the scenographic message, carefully places the message back inside the green bottle, looks toward the horizon and lets the breeze play with her hair. She stands and walks across the sand. The surrounding landscape gradually becomes futuristic. She walks toward the waterfront of a luxury hotel. Jump Cut. Her hand passes a modern electronic key card over the reader. The hotel-room door opens. Normal time returns. Zeca, now a mature man approximately fifteen years older, emerges from the bathroom with a towel wrapped around his waist. The girl gives him a small surprise, holding the green bottle, and delivers the final line: “PAI, OLHA O QUE ENCONTREI NO MAR...” Close-up on Zeca's face. The camera makes a gentle pan and focuses directly on a modern television mounted on the hotel-room wall. The TV shows Christ the Redeemer surrounded by advanced technological scaffolding. The news headline fills the screen: “CRISTO REDENTOR GANHA NOVO MINDINHO HOJE: Restauro levou 26 anos após laudo do IPHAN apontar risco de colapso estrutural por macrofissura oculta desde o ataque de 1999” END. FINAL EDITING PRINCIPLE The teaser may run up to 3 minutes. Do not try to force every shot to play at the literal duration suggested by the block ranges. The final edit should gain speed through montage, Jump Cuts, Fast-Forward and Time-Ramping while preserving the complete narrative arc and the final reveal.
